Ms DeJear is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma and is the Assistant Principal at Tulsa Honor Academy. She is a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Family Relations and Child Development. After moving to Houston in 2002 she pursued a Masters degree from University of Houston-Downtown, and graduated in 2005 with a Masters of Art in Curriculum and Instruction, with emphasis in Mathematics.
She has worked in education since 2002 as a Kindergarten and 3rd grade teacher, a K-5 Math and Science Specialist, a Title I Parent Involvement Coordinator, and an Instructional Coach in the Houston, TX area. She enjoys working with all teachers, students, and families daily to not only reach the goals and mission of the school, but to help families meet and exceed goals and dreams for their children.
Ms. DeJear's favorite subject is Math and she loves to bake, spend time with family, and attend sporting events. Her favorite athlete is her son, who keeps her busy supporting him with football, baseball, track, and basketball. When she is not busy being a mom she loves giving time to my community! I also am working towards being a published author.
