Perla Alvarado was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Enterprise Studies. She serves Tulsa Honor Academy as one of the College Readiness Advisors where her passion for helping underrepresented communities guides her as she helps scholars reach their college goals.
